Thanks for dropping by. I'm not around much anymore, been spending more time taking care of my puppy girl than anything else. I won't bore you here -- it's all on the "EXTRAS" page.

To answer your questions -- yes, yes and I'm not sure. LOL. Yes, Cam's story is done. Yes, there is another medieval, but I'm not sure when either will hit the shelf or an estore. I promise to let you know as soon as I do.

I do hope you've been having a wonderful, albeit hot, summer and that you've been reading some truly wonderful stories!

Hmmm…apparently it’s true – time does have wings.

It’s almost fall here in my little corner of the world. You can feel it in the crispness of the evening air and see it in the changing leaves on the trees. Soon, the neighborhood will be adorned in yellows, oranges and reds.

Already, the household has taken on the sound of autumn – ie: that means the “boys” are down at grandpa’s watching football on Saturdays and my house is blissfully quiet for the entire day.

Which is a good thing considering I just polished off the revisions on the second Dragon’s Lair for Nocturne – Cameron’s story and am currently obsessed with finishing the end of another medieval – this time it’s Isabella of Warehaven and Richard of Dunstan.

So, for those of you who have thankfully asked – yes, Cam does have a story (so will Sean), but alas, I still can’t give you a date. But I promise that as soon as I know, it’ll be plastered right here front and center. And as soon as I get the go ahead, I’ll post some teasers.

Right now, I can tell you that Aunt Dani and Aelthed will make an appearance - along with Nathan and another of his brood. Of course Braeden and Alexia will be there for brief snatches. And this time it isn’t just a pendant that turns into a dragon…

You caught me cleaning house...

Since Valentine's Day has now come and gone, I figured it was time to take down the Christmas tree...

But deciding what to replace it with is beyond me at the moment. I just finished polishing up a Victorian paranormal proposal for my agent and I'm currently wallowing in the 12th century with Isabella of Warehaven and Richard of Dunstan, so the whole 21st century realm is about as foreign as it gets.

'Tis the season...

EEK! Ok, so it's true - time really does fly by. Especially when life gets in the way.

I took a gander at the calendar today - trying to decide if it was too late to order something for Christmas or not - and realized that OMG I haven't updated my site in months, and months, and more.

(It'll be interesting to see how long the Christmas Tree pic stays up.)

While I won't get alot done here today, I did want to stop by and wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and all the very best for the New Year!

Almost Summer...

Hi there!

Hard to believe it's almost summer -- especially if one looks at my yard. When the choices are write, or weed, I'm opting for letting the jungle take over this year.

Been way too busy to garden. Just turned in the first book in a new medieval series to Harlequin Historical - Jared of Warehaven's story (title and release date TBA). Jared was the hero's friend in Falcon's Heart. It wasn't hard for him to convince me that he needed a story.

Now it's time to wrap up Dragon's Lair 2 - Cam's story for Nocturne. While browsing around for some inspiration I found a new series that's starting June 21st on NBC - MERLIN -- ohhhhh, be still my heart. I can't ask for better Wizardly inspiration than that, even if it is a medieval setting--you won't hear me complaining.

To kick off the start of summer I managed to con myself into joining Tracy Madison and Elizabeth Vaughan for a TV interview the local news channel did on Beach Reads at the local Borders. While I think the cover for "Bedded" looks too totally great on TV, the author...uh, not so much. It was...interesting, my first TV appearance and quite possibly, my last...thankyouverymuch.

Spring Catch up...

Hi there.

Thanks for dropping by. Hope your spring has been going fine so far. Ours is...strange this year. That 50 one day, 85 the next, then back down to a normal mid-60 is wearing on the sinuses to no end.

"Bedded By The Warrior" will be out in less than a month now, so that makes everything much more bearable.

This week Lucienne Diver is doing a Historical week on her blog -- way kewl, huh? Debra Mullins opened the week with her post on Historical Heroines and Why I (she) Love Them.

June Release - Bedded By The Warrior

New Release -- Dragon's Lair from Silhouette Nocturne

It's strange to see "Don't miss Denise Lynn's dazzling debut in Nocturne" on the back cover. I mean, this is book 9. But I guess they're right--it is my debut for the Nocturne line.

And I swear, as nervous as I am, you'd think this was my very first ever debut book. Yeah, what a twit.

The reviews have been awesome, and the early readers more than kind. So maybe, somehow, perhaps, I hit that "dark" element hard enough. Trust me, it didn't come easy. I kept waiting for Nocturne to send the contract back in flames, or for my editor to send the dreaded "don't darken my door ever again" email at every turn.

(sigh) I wonder if it ever gets any easier. Somehow, I'm thinking not. That's ok, I write because I have to write. If I didn't, the stories/characters/scenes in my head would make me...ok, crazier than I already am.

What will be totally way kewl this time, is that I'll get to see this book on shelves all over town. Now that's something I haven't had a chance to experience with the medievals. I may love medievals, you may even love medievals, but I'm telling you that here in NW Ohio they aren't at the top of many "must-have" lists. Thankfully, there are other cities, states and countries where they are.

To pass the time, and save wear and tear on the carpet (from the pacing), I put together a video -- sort of an interview of Alexia (the heroine from Dragon's Lair). It's animated because I love 3D Animation. Ignore the slight wonks here and there -- I'm still a rank amateur, but getting better.

The video is best viewed on High Quality (start the vid, then click the little up arrow at the bottom right corner - chose HQ). For some reason I assumed (hush) that HQ would be the default. Silly me.

I hope you enjoy the vid. And I truly hope you enjoy the story. Dragon's Lair wasn't easy to write, but in the end it was soooooo worth the work.

What does a semi-bored author do between books...I mean besides clean house and catch up the laundry? Don't know about others, but I spent the time at the pc...playing.

Since Hallowe'en Husbands will be out in a few weeks (man, this summer is winding down far too fast) I thought I'd play with Photoshop, Iclone and Movie Maker, just to kill time, ya know. While the animation project turned out to be a joke - meaning even though it said my machine was ready to go, it isn't, not until I invest in a new graphics card...later...I did play around some and ended up with a trailer for Hallowe'en Husbands. Check it out...

A little background on Wedding at Warehaven -- for those of you who read 'Falcon's Heart' you may, or may not remember Bryce's friend, Jared the Dragon of Warehaven. The couple in the Halloween Anthology are his parents--they are the first to discover the Dragon.

Then, in February 2009, you'll have the opportunity to meet Jared's and hopefully Evonne's (From Falcon's Honor - with the dragon pendants) 21st century descendants in Dragon's Lair, a Silhouette Nocturne release. This first contemporary paranormal is Braeden's story -- he's the current Lord of Mirabilus (also from Falcon's Honor).

That leaves me two more brothers: Cameron -- while his brother is the Dragon Lord, Cam IS a dragon. And the youngest Sean -- who doesn't believe in all the hocus pocus until he's forced to accept his powers, or lose his love.

And, for those of you who have been asking for William and Sarah's story...be on the look out for it sometime next year. Out of the three hero's from Commanded to His Bed and Bedded by Her Lord, I'm telling you, William has proven the most...obstinate...to say the least.

Hi there. Thanks for stopping by. The place looks a little empty, but I'm still unpacking boxes and decorating...ok, actually I'm working on revisions for my first Silhouette Nocturne Dragon's Lair (oh, I'm sure that title will change) can't find my desk beneath the mountain of papers and then I remembered that I have a book coming out in November. EEK! The mind is in a whirl...must update blog, My Space (I really wish they'd let me in to do updates...not sure what the trouble is, but I'll figure it out), Bebo (I really love a site that let's me have purple feathers), Shelfari (Don't know about you, but I could spend way too much time there)...oh, no...what about reviews and promo and oh, wait, the revisions are bleeding all over the place...I need to go get a mop. But I'll be back.
